Behind all the glamour and wealth, we must open our eyes to the reality that hunger lives in the shadows of every city in Orange County. Hunger can affect people from all sorts of backgrounds and demographics. The county's food insecurity is projected to be 13.7 percent which is a significant increase due the economic devastation caused by the Pandemic.

There are nearly 400,000 people who struggle with hunger in Orange County and one in five children are at risk of hunger each month. Many of those affected are the working poor who struggle to make ends meet in a county that has a very high cost of living which impacts all facets of their lives.
